Change Font and Save Money

By now I’m sure you’ve heard the theory that ink is more expensive that oil. If you haven’t heard of this, I’m sure your wallet has. In fact some say ink is the most expensive liquid in the world…and we use it daily. We are printing words with our money, so I guess we better keep that word count down. Txt spk is soundin lyk a viable option.

That may not be the most realistic option, but saving money is always a good thing. I came across an article the other day and found it rather interesting.

A high school student tested ink consumption of different typefaces and found there is a significant margin for savings. The student found that switching fonts from Times New Roman to Garamond, the federal government could save a whopping $136 million a year or 30%. Wow, why didn’t I think of that? This is something that can be easily implemented and create significant changes. One step closer to a greener world! Combine this with our remanufactured toner cartridges (shameless plug) and you got some serious savings.
